A few weekends ago Tony and I took a trip to Baltimore for the weekend and it was by far the best experience of my life. We drove up on Saturday morning and after getting stuck in some ridiculous traffic we finally made it! We parked for the day and decided to do some sight-seeing!

This is the Inner Harbor where we spent the day. It was beyond gorgeous, and the weather was pretty nice too 🙂

We really enjoyed ourselves that day! We had so much fun walking on the pier and just hanging out. Not to mention we got great photo-ops!

Here’s some more shots from around the Inner Harbor. That Barnes&Noble was by far the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. It was built inside an old factory and it still had all the old smoke-stacks inside of it. The other pictures are of the Inner Harbor, the bottom two were taken from inside the aquarium.

After we did some sight-seeing, we went to the Baltimore Aquarium! It may be on the pricey side, but if you love aquariums like we do, it’s totally worth the price! These pictures were taken in the sweet ass shark center. We spent about 45 minutes in there just watching the sharks and sword-fish swim around and around.

This was Tony’s favorite exhibit, he loved seeing all the snakes and poison dart-frogs. I was okay with them, as long as there was a piece of glass between me and them.

These were taken inside the aquarium. The first one is of me inside the amazon rain forest exhibit (which was quite boring since all the birds were hiding). The middle and last picture were taken in the bridge that connected the main aquarium and the dolphin exhibit. It went over the harbor and had a great view.

These are quite clearly the dolphins! This was probably my favorite exhibit (even though we didn’t get to see them up close because our timing was seriously off). The dolphins were so funny, the picture on the right is of them playing around.

After we spent 3.5 hours in the aquarium we went to dinner at my new favorite place, Houlihan’s. We ate at one in NJ last year and we fell in-love, and this time was just as wonderful. We then walked around the Inner Harbor a little bit, which didn’t last as long as we would have liked because it was raining and the temperature dropped down to like 50 degrees, but it was still pretty fun. I unfortunately left my camera in the car, so we didn’t get to get any pictures, but we did go in the awesome Barnes&Noble! We then went back to the hotel and watched a movie. And if you ever need a good hotel recommendation for the Baltimore area, the Staybridge Suites at the BWI Airport is amazing. The staff was super friendly, the room was huge, and it was clean! Thanks for a wonderful stay guys!

That concludes the post about Saturday. I’ll post about Sunday either tomorrow or Friday 🙂 Let’s go Yankees!

  1. We just wanted to say a quick thanks for highlighting our Baltimore venue in your recent post! We’re sorry to hear that the birds in our Upland Tropical Rain Forest exhibit weren’t out to play during your visit. Those guys certainly have a mind of their own 🙂
