Yesterday, Tony, my parents, and I drove up the Blue Ridge Parkway for the day and just wandered around and saw the sights. Then we went to Macado’s and had lunch! Here’s some pictures from the day!
Yesterday, babe and I went to Gilligan’s Pier in Newburg, Maryland for lunch. It was a beautiful drive up there and sitting by the water was wonderful. The little private beach is so cozy and awesome and I could’ve stayed there all day. The food was okay, not that wonderful, but that could just be because I’m allergic to seafood so I had to get a burger.
for the fourth of July me, Tony, and my parents headed down to Salem, VA for the Poarch Family Fourth! It’s hosted by my mom’s cousin and his wife and it’s always so much fun! Despite the rain (the event is always outside) we had an amazing time! There was tons of food and awesome music (provided by my cousin’s band). I was so excited to share the night with Tony for the first time ever! Here’s some pictures from the day!
I miss my long hair 😦
695 days of memories from being with my love ❤
On our second day in Baltimore (and the whole reason we went in the first place!) Tony and I went and saw the Yankees vs. Orioles game. Now we are huge Yankees fans! (we even went to the last regular season game against the Red Sox last year!) So for us to venture into Baltimore territory wearing Yankees gear was very dangerous, however, there were more Yankees fans than we expected (and we were pretty much surrounded by them at the game too). The game was amazing, but it always is when you see your team play live. And of course to top it off, we won 13-3 🙂 Let’s go Yankees!
This is my adorable boyfriend relaxing before we left for the game. That is by far my favorite shirt ever and I have been looking for months to find one in women’s that actually looks decent (with no luck yet).
Camden Yards, for it being the “other team’s” stadium, it was mighty nice and we really enjoyed the environment and the people who worked there were surprisingly nice.
These are the boys, warming up during batting practice. It was pretty amazing to be able to watch them warm-up from so close! (We sat only 4 rows back from the front, and we were on the bottom tier). You can thank my super awesome zoom lens for being able to get close up. Sorry some of them aren’t that great in quality though, it was windy and I was standing back so I was having trouble focusing some of them.
Our starting pitcher, Mr. Freddy Garcia! He was warming up right in front of us and it was an amazing opportunity to get pictures of this mans amazing skills!
Okay, so these are the guys warming up. The top one is the Captain (Derek Jeter for those of you uninformed citizens). The middle two are of Nick Swisher, yes they are of his butt. Why you ask? Because Nick Swisher has the sexiest ass in baseball (other than Mark Teixeria, but he was on the DL that night :(…). I’m not really sure who is stretching on the bottom, but my gut feeling tells me it was also Swishalicious.
These were all taken during the game. Yes I realize there are a lot of pictures of butts, but when you’re forced to sit in the outfield section of the stadium, you can’t really expect much 😦 Next time, we’ll plan ahead and get better seats!
And there’s the final score! Yes, it was only the 8th inning, but it never changed after that 🙂
A few weekends ago Tony and I took a trip to Baltimore for the weekend and it was by far the best experience of my life. We drove up on Saturday morning and after getting stuck in some ridiculous traffic we finally made it! We parked for the day and decided to do some sight-seeing!
This is the Inner Harbor where we spent the day. It was beyond gorgeous, and the weather was pretty nice too 🙂
We really enjoyed ourselves that day! We had so much fun walking on the pier and just hanging out. Not to mention we got great photo-ops!
Here’s some more shots from around the Inner Harbor. That Barnes&Noble was by far the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. It was built inside an old factory and it still had all the old smoke-stacks inside of it. The other pictures are of the Inner Harbor, the bottom two were taken from inside the aquarium.
After we did some sight-seeing, we went to the Baltimore Aquarium! It may be on the pricey side, but if you love aquariums like we do, it’s totally worth the price! These pictures were taken in the sweet ass shark center. We spent about 45 minutes in there just watching the sharks and sword-fish swim around and around.
This was Tony’s favorite exhibit, he loved seeing all the snakes and poison dart-frogs. I was okay with them, as long as there was a piece of glass between me and them.
These were taken inside the aquarium. The first one is of me inside the amazon rain forest exhibit (which was quite boring since all the birds were hiding). The middle and last picture were taken in the bridge that connected the main aquarium and the dolphin exhibit. It went over the harbor and had a great view.
These are quite clearly the dolphins! This was probably my favorite exhibit (even though we didn’t get to see them up close because our timing was seriously off). The dolphins were so funny, the picture on the right is of them playing around.
After we spent 3.5 hours in the aquarium we went to dinner at my new favorite place, Houlihan’s. We ate at one in NJ last year and we fell in-love, and this time was just as wonderful. We then walked around the Inner Harbor a little bit, which didn’t last as long as we would have liked because it was raining and the temperature dropped down to like 50 degrees, but it was still pretty fun. I unfortunately left my camera in the car, so we didn’t get to get any pictures, but we did go in the awesome Barnes&Noble! We then went back to the hotel and watched a movie. And if you ever need a good hotel recommendation for the Baltimore area, the Staybridge Suites at the BWI Airport is amazing. The staff was super friendly, the room was huge, and it was clean! Thanks for a wonderful stay guys!
That concludes the post about Saturday. I’ll post about Sunday either tomorrow or Friday 🙂 Let’s go Yankees!
So this past weekend my boyfriend and I enjoyed a little getaway to Williamsburg 🙂 It was so much fun and I had a blast, despite the weather being crappy on Saturday. We did lots of shopping and I got tons of stuff :). We drove down on Friday night after work and just spent the night relaxing in the hotel room. On Saturday we woke up and went to breakfast at I-Hop. After that we went and did some major shopping! We went into Merchant’s Square and walked around, then went to Christmas Mouse, Yankee Candle, and the pottery. After that we went in the Candy Store and then finished our shopping off at the Outlets 🙂 I got two Christmas presents for my Mama, one for my daddy and one for Helen. I also got a birthday present for my dad that I cannot wait to give him. I also got a hand-full of candy and some salsa (for daddy). We went to the outlets and walked the entire thing! I got a new pair of jeans and babe got a new leather jacket (in which he looks mighty fine ;)…) and a new pair of shoes. I also got some cupcake stuff and a few little nick-knacks. After all our shopping, we went back to the hotel and I jumped in the pool for a half hour. After that we showered and then went to dinner at Food for Thought 🙂 The food was amazing and we looooved it! After that we went to the General Store and shopped, then headed back to the room. This morning we woke up and packed all our things up before heading to breakfast at Mama Steve’s. The food was really good, though the place looked kinda dumpy. After that babe took me to play putt-putt at Pirate Cove Golf and it was so much freaking fun. It was probably the best putt-putt place I have ever been too! After that we headed home!
Here’s some pictures!

I got all this candy, plus a thing of pop rocks and some Sugar Daddy’s for only $4.99!
